Are You A Highly Sensitive Person Too?

I used to think being a Highly Sensitive Person was something to be ashamed of. Now I know it is one of my superpowers. If you are an HSP here’s how you can harness your power too.

Ok, maybe it wasn’t a total lie… but it felt like one. Because, while I aim to be as transparent as possible, I wasn’t openly sharing the entirety of my creative genius with you.

If you read Part One, you know what I am talking about. If you missed it, you can read the blog post here.

I’m sure you’ve heard the famous quote by Marianne Williamson, from her book, A Return To Love:

“Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.”

So many of us go through life allowing our light to dim, because we are afraid… of being judged, misunderstood, or not enough in some way.

Can you relate?

What is one area where you know you are not playing full on in your life?

Say it out loud right now. Heck, email me and tell me what it is.

I guess for me, I was playing full on… but behind the scenes (so, not really). The other day I was sitting with another rockstar high-vibe entrepreneur lady boss friend (I’ve been doing a lot of these coffee dates lately) and we were talking about energy, as we Californians do.

Have you ever heard of the term Highly Sensitive People (HSP)? HSPs are those that feel things deeply. I’m an HSP, and you may be one too. I honestly believe all people are, it’s just that some are more in touch with this sensitivity than others.

Hello, I’m Sheila, and I am a Highly Sensitive Person

However, for a long time, I allowed this to be a huge problem for me. For example, I am the type of person that cries easily when I feel emotions. It’s part of how I process.

It’s not a big deal at all, which is something my boyfriend learned quickly. It’s just part of who I am, AND… this isn’t exactly something that goes over well in certain environments, like a corporate meeting or emotionally heightened conversations with people that don’t know me well.

The thing is, for a long time, I felt ashamed of this sensitivity. I tried to cover it up. It also caused me a lot of pain for years (and still does sometimes) if I don’t make sure to hold healthy boundaries for myself on what energy, emotion, and responsibility is mine and what is other people’s.

Can you see where I am going with this? This sensitivity was, for a long time, another part of myself that I was ashamed of or tried to hide.

Moving to California was one of the best things I have ever done for myself on this front, because I realized… I’m not the only one! For some reason, highly “tuned in” woo-woo people are everywhere out here and being sensitive is not a bad thing.

In fact, I now know that being highly sensitive and tuned-in is one of my superpowers.

I FEEL THINGS… that other people don’t. I get intuitive hits about people, opportunities, and experiences that are 100% right. Which is really cool. It’s not an analytical thought or anything that comes from my head, it’s a feeling.

Which is a big part of what I believe led me to be so successful in my past business, and what has allowed me to be such a great coach to my clients. Most of my great ideas are not really ideas at all. They are something that comes THROUGH me because of this gift, as crazy woo-woo as I know that sounds.

Harness Your Superpowers and Thrive

Over the past 8 years, I’ve learned to understand HOW I harness this power and I now teach my clients how to tap into their own sensitivity and intuition too.

Sometimes I really do think that the things we are most insecure about are the things that turn out to be our greatest gifts.

When you get honest with yourself, doesn’t that feel true? Those things that you have been so hard on yourself about — those parts of you that you have been told to dim or tone down — are the things that make YOU powerful beyond measure.

And if we want to talk about shame, what a shame THAT is!

We often walk around this planet allowing our light to be dimmed. We shrink, hold back, be quiet, or busy ourselves worrying about things that are not even ours to take responsibility for, like other people’s opinions of who we should be in order to make them happy.

Screw measuring up! Screw staying small. It’s time to rise.

Not in a “push against” type way, but in a way of:

  • I’m not afraid
  • I give myself permission to be me
  • I have faith in myself and gratitude for who I am
  • I have creative gifts and I shall no longer hide them
  • It is my time and I am ready for the next step

So what’s the next step? That’s for you to discover and truly, this is when life starts getting really fun! Because this is when you show yourself there is literally NOTHING to be afraid of.

All limitations are self-imposed and it’s up to us to begin shattering that mold of what we believe is possible.

If you are 100% ready and you have a deep desire for guidance and support from a mentor to hold you accountable and show you exactly how to do this, I have good news…

I am opening up 3 (individual) spots in my Private 1-on-1 Mentorship: Freedom to Thrive.

This Mentorship is for women that are serious about getting serious.

They have a no excuses attitude and they are willing to do the work to release their old stories of lack and limitation so they can step into their power and do, have, and be all they have ever dreamed of and more.

This is for women that are open-minded, coachable and ready to invest in themselves at a high level because they know the value of up-leveling.

They are ready to take responsibility for consciously creating a life that will knock their socks off and want to do it with ease and grace because they know that is possible, even if they have faced a lot of struggle up until now.

If this sounds like you, CLICK HERE to get all the details and APPLY NOW.

Again, there are only 3 spots available!

I will be reviewing all applications myself and will be very particular on who I interview and accept into the program, because let’s be straight… we’re going to be working CLOSELY together and you know I am all about energy. It has to feel right!

When these spots are gone, they are gone and I won’t be taking on any other private clients until next year, so if you’re feeling the YES… apply.

Women who create the life of their dreams are resourceful.

If they want something, they figure out a way to get it. They don’t allow themselves to let lack-filled old stories get in their way. Expand… because, it’s your time to thrive.
